đ The Cobra Formula: Chemistry for the Streets
Share
In the world of urethane chemistry, SHR (Super High Rebound) comes from the purity and the specific "cross-linking" of the polymers. Most cheap wheels use "fillers" to save money, which makes the wheel feel like dead plastic. SHR means youâre using high-grade, expensive chemicals that act like a coiled springâwhen you hit a crack or land a jump, the wheel snaps back into shape instantly, pushing that energy back into the ground.

What are Polymers? đ§Ș
To keep it simple: Polymers are the microscopic "chains" that make up your wheel. Think of them like the DNA of the urethane. Cheap wheels have broken, weak chains filled with junk. The Cobra Formula uses high-purity polymers that are tightly "cross-linked," meaning those chains are locked together for maximum strength, speed, and snap.
Â
𧏠Why the Alpha Hybrid Hits Different (Shawnâs Specs):
Â
- 102A Hardness: This is our signature street/skate-park formula created from a mixture of 3 different high quality polymers to give you a speacial Cobra Signiture Urethane Wheel with extra bounce and roll. Itâs harder than your average wheel to give you maximum speed in the skate parks and smooth surfaces and that banshee-screech powerslide we all needâwith zero flatspots.
Â
- The 54mm Sweet Spot: I designed these specifically for the tech street skater who loves to rip parks. They are light enough for technical flips but beefy enough to handle the impact of a 7-foot drop or a 10-stair, or maintain mass and speed in the bowls and transitions.Â
Â
- 80% SHR Factor: Because of our chemistry, these don't feel like "rocks." That high rebound factor absorbs the shock of big impacts so your legs don't have to. Unlike typical wheels that simply sit there, this formula uses a Tri-Polymer Blendâa complex chemical reaction of three high-purity polymersâthat allows the wheel to sense and respond to impact
Â
- The "Growing" Tread Patch: I kept the initial tread patch narrow, but you gotta realize the wheel is still as bulky as well still to maintain the support for bowls, and carves, and overall mass, but he tread is just a little narrower to help you lock into blunts, nose, and tail slides and to make your flip tricks spin faster. But hereâs the beauty: as the wheel wears down, the patch gets wider, giving you more stability as the wheel ages.
WEâRE CHEMISTS WITH THIS SHIT. đđ§Ș
We didnât just "order" these wheelsâwe engineered them. With over 10+ years in the game, our team of Mechanics and Engineers focused on the microscopic level to bring you our Signature Cobra Formula.
Most wheels on the market are "dead" plastic. They use cheap fillers that lose energy on every roll. Our Alpha Hybrids use high-purity, cross-linked polymers that act like a coiled spring. That 80% Super High Rebound (SHR) means when you land a 10-stair or roll down from a transition or landing any trick, the wheel pushes that energy back into the ground, keeping you rolling instead of rattling.
I kept these at 54mm and 102A for the tech rippers. You get the narrow tread patch for buttery slides and fast spins while still maintaining the mass for the bowls and transitions, the banshee-screech on your power slides, and the speed you need for the bowl or any riding surface.
Don't skate "dead" urethane. Experience the chemistry.
